Overview
Established in 1990, The Alternative Board® facilitates monthly peer advisory boards comprised of local owners, presidents and CEOs who run non-competing businesses. Each month members gather to share experience and solve challenges to grow to the next level.
TAB Boards® consist of presidents, CEOs, owners and managing partners of privately owned businesses. The boards of up to 10 members each meet monthly under the guidance of a TAB-Certified Facilitator/Coach. TAB Board members operate in a confidential, "think tank" atmosphere where they can present challenges and opportunities to one another for seasoned, practical advice from other owners. Board members also receive monthly one-on-one hour-long private coaching sessions from their facilitator/coach.
Because no one lays claim to the member’s business, the result is no-holds-barred feedback and a sounding board for best business practices.
Each facilitator/coach has extensive top-level business management experience and many have active consulting practices. Facilitators serve as executive coaches, guiding members through planning and development processes and moderating boards.
More than 200 TAB-Certified Facilitators/Coaches now conduct monthly board meetings across the United States, Canada and South America. Since its inception, thousands of businesses have benefited from the TAB process.

In today’s market companies are finding it essential to teach their employees how to better communicate with one another. The purpose of using DISC is to help individuals attain a greater knowledge of themselves as well as others. The ability to interact effectively with others could determine success or failure. DISC is the universal language of observable human behavior. People, by “how they act,” have similar characteristics. By learning these characteristics, we can increase effective interpersonal communications and, therefore, increase our understanding and acceptance of each other.

Work Environment
If the job could speak. By prioritizing activities required by a particular job, the Work Environment instrument graphically displays the behavioral demands of a job. Then, a person’s natural or adapted behavior can be compared to those required by the job and show if behavioral stress level exists. Success or failure on a job many times is related to a person’s behavioral match to the job, or their perception of the job. The Work Environment software provides the basis for discovering the real issues. Reports can be generated on the job, people’s perception of the job, comparing perceptions or comparing a person’s natural or adapted style to the job. This is also a very useful tool for comparing two people’s perception of the job to resolve conflict and performance issues.
Sales Strategy Index
The Sales Strategy Index covers six different steps in the sales process: Prospecting, First Impressions, Qualifying, Demonstration, Influence and Closing. Personal Interest, Attitude and Values
Why people do what they do affects performance both on and off the job. This report measures the relative prominence of six basic interest or motives: theoretical, utilitarian, aesthetic, social, individualistic, and traditional values. Values and Attitudes help to initiate one’s behavior and are sometimes called the hidden motivators because they are not always readily observed.
